THE GREAT FLOOD’s PURPOSE WAS TO EXTINGUISH THE GIANTS NEPHILIM
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NEPHILIM OR THE GIANTS?
The Nefelim were one of the main reasons for the great flood in the time of Noah. Immediately after mentioning the Nefelim, the bible mentions this:
“And the Lord saw that the wickedness of men was great in the earth, and that every design of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.
And the Lord repented of having made man on earth, and afflicted him in his heart. And God said: I will destroy the men whom I have created from the face of the earth, from man to beast, and reptile, and fowls of the heavens, because I regret having done them. ” (Genesis 6: 5-7)
Then God proceeded to flood the entire world, killing everyone and everything (including this race of giants) except for Noah and his family, and the animals within the ark (Genesis 6: 11-22).
WERE THERE GIANTS AFTER THE FLOOD?
It seems that the Angels returned to repeat their sin sometime after the flood. However, it seems that this happened on a much smaller scale than before the Flood.
Most of the giants were destroyed in a cosmic catastrophe, known as the Great Flood.
The old catastrophe, which was of the highest class, ended the antediluvian world, forcing the rebellious angels to temporarily leave Earth.
After the Flood, when the waters receded, the powerful gods returned. God decided to repopulate the Earth, but they were not alone. The “fallen angels” survived the cataclysm.
The Watchers returned to the planet and the rebellion against the Lord entered a new phase. The Giborim and the Nefelim reappeared. We find them again in the Scriptures. This time they are called Refaim, Zuzitas, Emites, Horim, Amalekites and Amorites.
